THE ISSUES

There’s a war for the hearts and minds of our kids and most people are unaware of the fight. Kids’ innocence is being stolen at the cost of sub-par education. Schools are exposing kids to complex, controversial topics before their brains are mature enough to use critical thinking skills for personal conclusions. Parental guidance is being excluded while the government enacts laws that supercede parents rights. We are a diverse community with many different cultures, religions, beliefs, and practices, but WE ALL AGREE  that properly educating our next generation is imperative for a strong, healthy community.

DID YOU KNOW...

  • Ramsey County schools on average rank in the bottom 50% of MN public schools?*
  • District high schools are far below grade-level proficiency. At North Sr. High - 84% of students are below in math and 68% are below in reading. At Roseville High - 62% of students are below in math and 51% are below in reading.**
  • Schools are allowed to keep secrets from you! When a child questions their gender and does not want to tell their parents, MN law does not mandate school share this with you - the parent.
  • Minnesota tax money funds $1.3M+ annually to provide menstrual products in schools for placement in both MALE & FEMALE restrooms for 4th grade and up.
  • Your right to religious freedom was nearly lost during the last legislative session as current lawmakers tried to eliminate “Religion” from the Civil Rights language of our Minnesota Constitution - i.e. our protection against religious discrimination.

Failing our children leads to the failure of society. Local school boards can only do what state laws mandate which is why I am running at the State Representative level to represent your voice in protecting our kids. A vote for Karla J. Nelson reflects your support to have kids attend public schools without fear of the lessons contradicting the religion or core values of the family. The vitality of our future depends on proficiency in education that prepare our kids to be productive adults with real-world skills.

fighting for you because of minnesota's...

Minnesota is overspending out means and placing a heavy tax burden on us.

I will:

  • Establish a budget-based process which evaluates return on investment to eliminate unnecessary spending.
  • Work to establish effective fraud oversight.
  • Enact deregulation because it inhibits economic growth especially for small-business owners.

Make our neighborhoods and schools safe again.

I will:

  • Demand policies that enhance community safety and effective law enforcement.
  • Address root causes of criminal behavior by supporting substance abuse prevention and treatment.
  • Allocate resources which invest in crime prevention such as Neighborhood Watch and after-school programs.

Rapid influx strains housing, education, healthcare, employment, and assistance programs.

I will:

  • Stand against Minnesota becoming a sanctuary state because of the demand it places on you as a taxpayer.
  • Implement voter i.d. requirements to preserve election integrity.
  • Enact regulations to penalize employers who hire illegal immigrants rather than legal residents and citizens.

Ramsey County ranks in the bottom 50% of MN public schools.* MN dropped to 19th in  national education ranking yet spends $13.6K** per pupil per year.***

I will:

  • Develop proper oversight in favor of school choice to encourage schools to be competitively stronger in education.
  • Focus on laws promoting fundamental education including science, math, reading, and writing.
  • Require teachers demonstrate proficiency in the subject matter they teach.

I'm dedicated to protecting our children by opposing government overreach into parental rights, specifically regarding gender identity issues, removing harmful educational legislation, and ensuring that schools focus on essential academic subjects rather than controversial social theories.

I will:

  • Advocate for the repeal of HF 146 to restore parental control over gender identity discussions.
  • Work to eliminate legislation that impedes classroom safety and disrupts educational quality.
  • Ensure that educational policies prioritize core subjects like math and reading over divisive theories like DEI and CRT.

Our constitution states we have the right to life. No person has the right to kill another human, in or outside the womb, or choose who lives or dies.

I will:

  • Ensure that all individuals, regardless of their circumstances, are afforded their fundamental rights.
  • Raise awareness about the importance of protecting every human life.
  • Support policies that uphold the values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for everyone.

Realizing the critical importance of our First Amendment rights as government and media suppress dissent, I will fight against the erosion of free speech, oppose government overreach that restricts or dictates speech, and defend the right for individuals to express their beliefs freely.

I will:

  • Advocate for the protection of our First Amendment rights.
  • Resist any government overreach that seeks to restrict free speech.
  • Oppose the imposition of mandated speech in the name of inclusion, to ensure our society remains free and open.

Understanding the threat to our constitutional right to bear arms and the impact of restrictive gun laws, I am committed to protecting this right, ensuring families can defend themselves, and addressing the root causes of violence rather than imposing further gun restrictions.

I will:

  • Protect the constitutional right to bear arms against unconstitutional restrictions.
  • Advocate for policies that allow families to defend themselves effectively.
  • Work to address the root causes of violence rather than imposing additional gun restrictions.

Meet Chloe Cole, a brave young woman who is standing up to share her powerful testimony about the devastating impact of gender transition on her life. Chloe's story is a crucial reminder of why we need to protect our children from making irreversible decisions too early. Listen closely as she courageously speaks out for the future of others.
